How To Use Your Website As a Sales Tool

By: Sagefrog

Your website shouldn’t just be a static page listing your products or services.  When used correctly, it can act as a strong avenue to generate and capture leads.  Use the following tips to make your website an interactive sales tool:

  • Opt-In Option— Create a place on both your website and your blog, where readers can sign up for an email alert from your business.
  • Utilize Email— Email should be the basis of how you funnel leads. Make your emails engaging, interesting, and be sure you’re targeting the correct audiences.
  • Make an Offer— It’s not enough to just say, “sign up for our email”.  Follow that statement with an offer (e.g. a free consulting session, a percent off their next order).
  • Blog About It— A company blog is a great way to keep your readers up to date with industry news, company updates, and interesting content. It will also help drive traffic to your website.
  • Promote the Blog— Don’t be afraid to promote your blog via your email lists, other social media accounts, and website. How else will your readers find it?
