The Four Keys to Content Marketing

According to the Content Marketing Institute, 86% of marketers use content marketing and 84% of those utilize social media to promote that content (source). Content marketing and social media go hand in hand; you can’t have one without the other in order to be successful. Use these four tips to ensure your content is on the right track:

  1. Timing— Presenting your content with a sense of urgency or “right now” will promote more people to click on and share your posts.
  2. Newsworthy— Understand what your audience cares about and focus on sharing that content. Answer questions, share interesting information, and keep up to date on industry news.
  3. Insider News— Allow your customers to see behind the scenes on how products are being developed, office environment, or bio’s on top ranking officials within the business.  This creates a sort of transparency and trust.
  4. Get Witty— Having a specific tone of voice and sense of humor in social media goes a long way with your consumers.  They feel like they’re talking to an actual person and not just a brand.
