Email marketing is an effective way to generate sales and increase engagement with current and potential customers. An email campaign allows you to foster a positive connection with your ideal customer and the results are easy to measure. Below are 5 tips to create a successful email campaign.
1. Make sure your email content is serving a purpose
– Your content should drive people back to your website, create brand awareness, grow your audience and drive conversions in the sales funnel. Make sure you create content that grabs the readers attention, creates a sense of urgency and prompts them to action!
2. Send emails to the right audience
– Identify your target audience and their “pain points.” Then show them how your product/service helps them to solve their problems. Also be mindful of times you share specific content within the buying cycle.
3. Use action language
– After you create a sense of urgency with the reader, show them where to go for more information or direct them in their next steps. This is the CALL-TO-ACTION. How do they get their offer or contact you to learn more? Provide a link in the form of an easy to see button that begs to be clicked on!
4. Choose your words carefully
– Did you know that 33% of email recipients open an email based on the subject line? Research has found that emails with fewer characters in the subject line have a higher open rate. Aim for 25 characters or below.
5. Tone is everything
– Your voice should be consistent with your overall brand identity, but keep the tone conversational. This will make the email feel more personal and potentially allow the reader to connect deeper with the message.
