Coming up with a creative email blast can be tricky and very time consuming. Make sure you aren’t implementing these 6 common mistakes that would put your hard work to waste by getting your email automatically sent to the Spam folder.
Common Mistakes:
- Excessive use of exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!
- Using phrases similar to “Click here!” or “Once in a lifetime opportunity!”
- USING ALL CAPS, WHICH COMES OFF VERY AGGRESSIVE IN EMAIL ANYWAYS (This includes the subject line)
- Creating an HTML email that’s nothing but one big image, with little or no text. Since Spam filters can’t read images, they assume you’re a spammer trying to trick them.
- Sending a test to multiple recipients within the same company. That company’s email firewall will most likely assume it’s a spam attack.
- Using bright red or green colored fonts.
