Facebook Adds Call-to-Action Feature for Businesses

Within the next few weeks, Facebook Inc. will roll out a new feature to U.S. business pages enabling a call-to-action button.

Designed to “bring a business’s most important objective to the forefront of its Facebook presence,” – driving traffic to the website, buttons will include:

  • Book Now
  • Contact Us
  • Sign Up
  • Watch Video
  • Use App
  • Play Game

One retailer says that adding a Sign Up button has helped it acquire new customers, including that in a three-week test the button “delivered a 2.5x higher conversion rate versus other comparable social placements aimed to drive new user acquisition.”

The button will appear near the top of the page, adjacent to the Like button. It will also become available to companies worldwide next year.
